How We Verify Providers
Every service provider on Tripiko goes through a rigorous multi-step verification process before they can accept bookings. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
Application Review
Providers submit a detailed application including business information, service descriptions, and photos. Our team reviews each application manually.
Document Verification
We verify official documents including GST registration, tourism registration certificates, and trade licenses. Fake or expired documents result in immediate rejection.
Approval & Onboarding
Approved providers receive onboarding support to set up their listings, pricing, and availability. They receive a verification badge visible to all travelers.
Required Documents
Depending on the service type, providers must submit:
GST Registration
Valid GST certificate for all commercial service providers
Tourism Registration
Kerala Tourism Department registration for stays and experience providers
Trade License
Local body trade license for applicable business categories
Identity Verification
Government-issued ID of the business owner or authorized representative
Property/Vehicle Registration
Relevant registration documents for stays and transport providers
Ongoing Monitoring
Verification isn't a one-time event. We continuously monitor provider performance through community reviews, customer feedback, and periodic re-verification of documents. Providers who fall below our quality standards are flagged, warned, and — if necessary — removed from the platform.
Community Trust System
Tripiko's trust system is powered by the community itself. Multiple overlapping mechanisms ensure that bad actors are caught quickly and good providers are rewarded.
Weighted Reviews
Not all reviews carry equal weight. Curator reviews count 2x, long-time community members' reviews carry more influence than brand-new accounts. This makes review manipulation significantly harder.
Curator Verification
Curators independently verify events, places, and experiences submitted by the community. Their expert review adds a second layer of quality assurance beyond standard moderation.
Report & Flag System
Every listing, review, and user profile has a flag option. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours by our trust and safety team. Repeat offenders face escalating consequences.
User Blocking
Users can block other users to prevent unwanted interactions. Blocked users cannot view your profile, send messages, or interact with your content in any way.
Payment Protection
Every transaction on Tripiko is processed securely with clear refund policies and a dedicated dispute resolution team.
Encrypted Payments
All payment data is encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption. We never store full card details on our servers.
Verified Providers
You only pay verified providers. Every service provider passes our multi-step verification before accepting bookings.
24h Dispute Response
Our dispute resolution team responds within 24 hours. Most disputes are resolved within 3 business days.
Refund Policy
Our refund policy is straightforward and designed to be fair to both travelers and providers.

Half refund for cancellations made 3 to 6 days before the scheduled date.

No refund for last-minute cancellations within 48 hours. Exceptions may apply for emergencies.

File a Dispute
Submit your concern through the booking detail page within 48 hours of the experience.
Review & Investigation
Our team reviews evidence from both parties and may contact either for additional information.
Resolution
A decision is issued within 3 business days. Refunds, if applicable, are processed within 5-7 business days.
